Working on Wheels is the working title of National Playbus Association. Based in Bristol and Edinburgh, we are the only umbrella membership organisation supporting mobile community work across the United Kingdom.

Barnet Community Transport teamed up with Barnet Council, Connexions and the Youth Offending Team in this exciting project. Rolling Base visits schools, parks and estates in the Borough particularly in areas where facilities for young people are low.
Blackburn with Darwen Healthy Living
The Health Buzz is fitted with a gym and kitchen area. As well as encouraging more people to take regular exercise, the kitchen area is used for preparing snacks and smoothies, to promote 5 a day as well as support weight management groups.
The Doorstep Project is a 40ft long urban artic wagon which has been converted to provide a space that can be used for a wide number of uses, e.g. play, youth sessions, consultation etc. The facility is self contained and has access to a wide range of resources provided by the Rochdale Toy Library, and the Rochdale Play Resource Centre.
CLOWNS stands for Creating Learning Opportunities in WesterN Somerset, was created in 1995 , is a charity. We’re the only provider in West Somerset of mobile, outreach facilities for families. Our services enable families living in isolation to come together, to play and learn together.
Burnley Space Bus
A gap in youth service provision was identified not only by youths themselves but also by a range of multi-agency partners. Although there are many organised activities for young people in Burnley, they do not satisfy the requirements of the majority, especially the needs of those who do not currently engage with mainstream youth provision for whatever reason.
The Forest Bus
The Forest Bus provides a variety of opportunities to young people, children and their families living in the New Forest and rurally isolated areas in Hampshire.
Barnardo’s Revolutions Project is a mobile mechanical workshop and mobile classroom offering vocational education opportunities to young people who need further support in mainstream schooling. It aims to provide a confidence-building and educational programme for young people.
East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre
The East Sussex Hearing Resource Centre Mobile Advisory Service (MAS) was set up some 6 years ago to provide information, advice and support for deaf and hard of hearing people living in East Sussex.
Salt and Light
Salt and Light is a Christian Outreach Ministry operated by the Glasgow Church Elim. Anne Wallace, Co-ordinator of the project and her team of volunteers take their very distinctive double decker bus into Glasgow’s red light area to provide support to the working women and also food to people who are homeless.
